Client: Hennebert Solveig , Ph.D. researcher, Université Lumière Lyon2-France
Services: Copyediting, Line-Editing

The Ph.D. researcher in political science and member of the Laboratoire Triangle at the Université Lumière Lyon-2, Hennebert Solveig examines the issue of antisemitism in France.

She relied on my copyediting and line-editing services for her article: “I don’t see the point.” Remembrance of antisemitism and commemorative practices among young Jewish people in France” which was presented at the Centre for East European and International Studies, Berlin, September 2020.

My copyediting approach included:

Checking for and correcting:

  • Errors in grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation.
  • Technical consistency in capitalization, font usage, hyphenation, and spelling consistency (UK-US spelling).

I also provided line-editing by:

  • Improving word choice.
  • Rewriting and restructuring (by adding remarks in the comment section of the word document).
  • Checking the readability of the article ensuring that the reader can grasp the writer’s argumentation.
  • Checking for redundancies, tone of voice, flow, and coherence.
