Anne-Sophie Noel is a teacher-researcher in Greek Language and Literature at the Classics Department of the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon and faculty member of the Laboratoire HISOMA (Histoire et Sources des Mondes Antiques ), a research unit of the French National Center for Scientific Research (C.N.R.S).

Her research explores the topics of dramaturgy of the ancient theatre, the objects in theatre (from Antiquity to the present), cognitive approaches of the ancient theater, and contemporary critical theories (new materialisms, posthumanism) among others.

Our collaboration focuses on her ongoing project of a monograph in English on ancient Greek tragedy, by offering my copyediting and line-editing assistance.

My copyediting approach included:

Checking for and correcting:

• Errors in grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation.
• Technical consistency in capitalization, font usage, hyphenation, and spelling consistency (UK-US spelling).

 Line-editing service focused on: 

• Improving word choice.
• Rewriting and Restructuring (by adding remarks in the comment section of the word document).
• Checking the readability of the article ensuring that the reader can grasp the writer’s narration/argumentation.
• Checking for redundancies, tone of voice, flow, and coherence.
